How to Install?

There are two ways to install PHP.

Installing PHP on your own PC

This process has three steps.

MYSQL database is widely used with PHP. Therefore, it is better to use MYSQL with PHP.

However, you can do all of these steps at once by installing one of the following web development environments.

Using a host with PHP and MYSQL support

There is a huge number of web hosts worldwide which supports PHP and MYSQL. You can choose one of them.

Most of them include Apache web server, PHP, MYSQL as well as phpMyAdmin.

You can execute PHP files without installing any software.

Installing a text editor

You need a good text editor to edit .php files. Following text editors supports PHP syntax highlighting.

There are some IDEs for PHP to make programming easier. But, for now, a text editor is enough for you to learn PHP.
